Communication means life, smile, tolerance, empathy and cooperation. Mass communication providing communication network in society is a primary phenomenon in our lives. The means of communication grow with the developing technology. Therefore, it is pleasing to see that young people can use smart phones, tablet computers and other technological devices without difficulty. The global village, in which many technologies such as smart glasses and three-dimensional ads will easily be adopted, promises a technology-based future.
Our faculty, which was established on February 1, 2010 and started receiving its first students in 2012-2013 academic year, aims to grow in academic arena in ten years with its academic staff’s international publications, to train media professionals and graduate students.
The objective of the Faculty of Communication is to provide training for public relations practitioners, advertisers, journalists, broadcasters, radiobroadcasters, film-makers and communication designers of the future who know communication and media world of the past, seek the truth, put what he/she has learned into practice, make inquiries, comply with the technology and are visionary, ethical, fair, responsible. Besides, our faculty aims to be a faculty which adopts and practices recent developments in communication and media sector with necessary technical equipment and contributes to its social surroundings with its qualified academicians.
With its vision, mission and aim; our faculty, which has strengthened its academic staff having a voice in the international arena and has been making online radiobroadcasting with students, set up public relations lab, advertising and photography labs, news center and television studio between 2014 and 2016.
