In increasingly digitalized world, the field of publicity has developed substantially. In such a field which updates itself constantly, there is a need of talented professionals in order to carry on the businesses. The aim of the Public Relations and Publicity Department is to contribute to science with academic studies and to train professionals who is needed in public relations and advertising sectors. To achieve this aim, academic staff in Department of Public Relations and Publicity conducts academic studies and department’s curriculum is getting more and more ideal. Apart from theoretical and practical courses, there are many courses which are closely related to digitalized communication, sectoral structures and intellectual development. The objective of the curriculum is to help our graduate students correspond to every job position they apply.
Our students, who graduate from our department as public relations practitioners, work as professionals in corporate communication and public relations departments, as strategic planning specialists, copywriters, customer representatives, art directors, creative directors and space brokers in advertising agencies.
Our department, which has four Assistant Professors, one lecturer and three Research Assistants, provides Public Relations Lab, PC Labs, library and the classrooms that have technological equipment. Our department also contributes to our students’ improvement by organizing seminars and workshops.
