Who Are We?
Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Communication is an educational institution that has achieved significant success since its inception thanks to the faculty members' contributions to the advancement of academic knowledge and the internationalization of theory, the faculty's suitable physical infrastructure, the managerial-cultural climate that fosters innovation, and the students' awareness. Our faculty, established in 2010, includes one professor, six associate professors, ten assistant professors, three lecturers, and 12 research assistants, and nearly 1,500 students are currently enrolled in 5 undergraduate and one graduate programs.

What About Our Qualifications and Academic Vision?
Our academics are actively involved in updating knowledge and shaping communication theory on a global scale. In addition to our faculty members' publications in various places, nine international books have been published thus far, one of which has been indexed by Web of Science and two by Scopus. Furthermore, our faculty's journal, Middle Black Sea Journal of Communication Studies, has been in publication since 2016, contributing to the development of Turkish literature through the books we publish in Turkish.

What are Faculty Facilities and Students' Achievements?
Our faculty has News Center, Public Relations and Promotion Studio, Photography Studio, Television Studio, MAC Laboratory, Radio Studio, Editing Laboratory, New Media and IT Laboratory, and Short Film Laboratory.

Our students, who have the opportunity to reinforce their theoretical and practical knowledge gained in our workshops, studios, and laboratories, have competed in numerous prestigious competitions and returned with 55 awards.
What Are Our Programs and Job Opportunities?
Our faculty offers five undergraduate programs related to the departments of Journalism, Public Relations and Publicity, Radio, Television and Cinema, Communication and Design, as well as a graduate degree in Media and Communication Sciences. Our students can work as a journalist or producer in newspapers, radio, and television, media planner in advertising agencies, copywriter, designer, producer, strategic planner, art director, creative director, corporate communication manager, screenwriter, film director, producer, teacher, and district governor.

What Exchange Programs Do We Offer to Our Students?
Within the framework of the Erasmus Programme, our faculty has signed bilateral agreements with 15 universities in Spain, Italy, Hungary, Portugal, Slovakia, Romania, Poland, Croatia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Our students actively participate in these exchange programs, and the experiences they gain in the countries they visit contribute to broadening their worldviews.

In What Ways Do We Support the Professional, Cultural, and Social Atmosphere?
There are two types of community structures classified into professional and social categories within the body of the Directorate of Health, Culture and Sports at our university. Professional communities are faculty-specific, whereas social communities are more general. In this context, our faculty supports the development and experience of our students in the professional field with its communities named Photography, Marketing Communication, Cine-Dream (Sine-Düş), New Media, Organization Media, Radio and Advertising. So far, our students have participated in a wide range of community activities and organizations. Along with these, our university offers the institutional framework required to foster the environment that will support the cultural growth of our students through social communities working in 93 sectors ranging from chess to cycling.
